Vacation to California

Last week we took a vacation to Escondido, California with my parents. They have a wonderful 2 bedroom 2 bath timeshare, and were brave enough to invite us along! Poor Lilly slept happily in the large bathroom, and Charlie loved sleeping in his new travel bed and Thomas the Train sleeping bag. We had the BEST time on vacation.  We took the kids everywhere: Sea World, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, The Beach, on a San Diego Harbor Cruise, The Pool, and a tour of the USS Midway!  The beach was a huge hit. Charlie loved the ocean and enjoyed getting super sandy. He burried himself and whoever else was willing to get into the sand with him. Lilly sported 3 new bathing suits thanks to her Nana, and Mom-mom! Seeing Charlie at Sea World almost made me cry. He loved everything and was giddy from start to end. So precious. The Safari Park trip with Pipa and Mom-mom was awsome. We got to see a baby gorilla, a baby hippo, and a baby giraffe. Charlie requested a pair of "noculars" (binoculars) to scope out all the neat wildlife. His favorite animal is the giraffe or hippo. He said he "can't pick only one animal!"  Everything, really, was just super fun and memorable. Even small trips to the local pool.  Can't wait for another chance to go.
